About Kathy Jakobsen
Kathy Jakobsen is one of America's premier folk artists. Having done over 600 oil paintings, her works are part of a number of permanent collections, including those of the Museum of American folk Art and the Smithsonian. She is also the illustrator of the acclaimed children's books Johnny Appleseed, by Reeve Lindbergh, This Land is Your Land with Nora Guthrie, and her own My New York. She has recently relocated from up north and is finally back to work on a new children's book in her Florida home.
