Though the South Strand and South Carolina's Hammock Coast have changed a lot since I left in the late 90s, the inlets and marshes, especially at sunset, have preserved their magic through the decades. This shot stems from Palweys Island, SC.
About Nando Lardi
It probably started with a young teenager looking at NatGeo pictures and deciding that he wanted to be the next Galen Rowell. First published at seventeen, first exhibition at twenty-one, photography suddenly took a third-row back seat for a couple of decades as life unravelled in unforeseeable directions.. A couple of decades later, the re-entry to the initial passion was a decade of extreme mountaineering and the resulting photos becoming the foundation for a stock photography business. Age, not stopping at my doorstep, led me to shift priorities back to what I once dreamed of doing. Living in a small RV since 2020, I currently travel throughout Europe at a leisurely pace while stopping here and there to playfully relearn a craft I once...
