I think I know what you are thinking but yes, the soil is red in Hawaii. Sort of like the red clay fields of Georgia my birthplace. You could say this is the pineapple capital of the world but I might be wrong. What a beautiful cloud filled day for me to photograph Dole Pineapple Plantation on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The highway road cuts thru a pineapple field (foreground) of Dole Plantation on my journey north to the renowned beaches of The North Shore in Oahu, Hawaii.
